Agricultural Outlook
USDA's site giving figures for farm and food prices, farm income, prices received, per capita food consumption and food safety.

National Agricultural Research Service
Part of the USDA, this site presents the summaries of the National Agricultural Research Service's surveys covering all facets of U.S. agriculture, including- production and supplies of food, prices paid and received by farmers, farm labor and wages. Includes agency directories, state links and more.

USDA Economics and Statistics Service
The USDA Economics and Statistics System contains nearly 300 reports and datasets from the economics agencies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. These materials cover U.S. and international agriculture and related topics. Reports may be browsed or searched with keywords.

Digest of Educational Statistics
A compilation of statistical information covering the broad field of education from pre-kindergarten through graduate school. Topics in the Digest include: the number of schools and colleges; teachers; enrollments; graduates; educational attainment; finances; federal funds for education; employment and income of graduates; libraries; technology; and international comparisons.

U.S. Department of Education
Includes numerous valuable links, including federal (title IV) school codes, college loan information and applications online, searchable Eric Digests and a school district locator.

Bureau of Labor Statistics
Click on "data" then "most requested series" for selected U.S. and regional statistics on employment and unemployment, productivity, consumer and other price indexes and compensation. Includes link to the International price indexes home page. Click on "regional information" for quick access to New York and Philadelphia area statistics.

Fedstats: One Stop Shopping for Federal Statistics
Searchable index to over 70 U.S. government agencies collecting and providing statistics of all kinds. Title, keywords and full text searching available, in addition to browsing by agency.

Labor Fast Facts
Part of New Jersey's One Stop Career Center, this site contains licensed occupations in New Jersey, OES Wage Survey, employer listings by county and links to Census and other New Jersey demographic data.

Occupational Outlook Handbook Online
Online version of this standard source, published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Updated every 2 years, it describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, training and education needed, earnings and expected job prospects for a wide range of occupations.

Wage Data For New Jersey
Based on a 1996 survey, this site contains statewide wages by occupation for New Jersey, ranking tables, wages by industry and by geographic area. Contains information about a survey update and links to wage data for other states.

Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
The MMWR weekly contains data on specific diseases as reported by state and territorial health departments and reports on infectious and chronic diseases, environmental hazards, natural or human-generated disasters, occupational diseases and injuries and intentional and unintentional injuries. Also included are reports on  topics of international interest and notices of events of interest to the public health community.

National Center for Health Statistics
The intent of this site is to provide users access to the health information that NCHS produces. Users can browse the publications and statistical tables, download selected public-use data files, conduct on-line database queries and searches in Wonder, track progress toward Healthy People 2000 Objectives, or access FASTATS from A-Z. The site also contains information about each NCHS survey and data system, special programs and activities, upcoming seminars, conferences and training, as well as links to other sites. 

State Health Facts Online
Discloses important health and health policy information for all fifty states and US territories. Data are divided into ten categories -- demographics and the economy, health status, health coverage and uninsured, medicaid and CHIP, medicare, health costs and budgets, managed care and health insurance, providers and service use, women's health, minority health, and HIV/ AIDS -- and are displayed as tables, rankings, graphs, or color-coded maps. Users may access individual state profiles and then compare them to other states, or the US as a whole.

American Fact Finder
This is resource is great for locating statistical information based upon geographic location in the United States. Site maintained by the Census Bureau. Links to population, economic and industry indicators, profiles for local communities and more.

Background Notes
Background Notes provide information on geographic entities and international organizations and are updated periodically. Site maintained by the United States State Department. Browse by country or region.

Census 2000

Census State Data Centers
This site provides links to state data centers for all 50 states in the U.S. Since 1978, the State Data Center (SDC) Program has provided training and technical assistance in accessing and using census data for research, administration, planning and decision making by the government, the business community, university researchers and other interested data users. The Business and Industry Data Center (BIDC) Program, initiated in 1988, supports the business community by expanding SDC services to government, academic and non-profit organizations that directly serve businesses.

CensusScope
An easy-to-use tool for investigating U.S. demographic trends, brought to you by the Social Science Data Analysis Network (SSDAN) at the University of Michigan. With eye-catching graphics and exportable trend data, CensusScope is designed for generalists and specialists.

GeoHive
Statistics on the human population and Earth in general: the population of regions, countries, provinces and cities. There are some statistics on economic factors like wealth, infrastructure and more.

Global Statistics
There's a large collection of data at this site, ranging from country profiles (provinces and main cities) to the highest mountains in the world, to a list of all countries in the world with their capitals, surface area and population. There are a few tables regarding the whole world (those can take a bit longer to download), separate pages with more in-depth data for continents and further links to even more data on those continents' main countries. There is also a separate area dedicated to charts, listing the largest, longest, highest, etc. in the world.

Historical Demographic, Economic and Social Data of the US
The mission statement of this U.S. Census Agency is as follows:  In concert with others at the Bureau, we compile, analyze and publish timely and accurate data on the physical, social and financial characteristics of the Nation's housing, on its use and occupancy, and on the income, labor force and other socio-economic characteristics of the Nation's households, families and  individuals.

Latest Federal Statistics
The purpose of this service is to provide easy access to current Federal statistics. It provides links to information produced by a number of Federal agencies. Population Index, published since 1935, is the primary reference tool to the world's population literature. It presents an annotated bibliography of recently published books, journal articles, working papers and other materials on population topics. This website provides a searchable and browsable database containing 42,662 abstracts of demographic literature published in Population Index in the period 1986-1999.

State Rankings List
Mortality, crime, housing, income, labor, industry and education statistics are compared for all 50 states.

Statistical Abstracts of The United States 
While the full blown version of Statistical Abstracts of the United States is not accessible on the net, the Census Bureau has provided online access to state rankings for multiple statistics.

Top City Rankings
These tables, based on the 1994 edition of County and City Data Book, show the rankings for those cities with 200,000 or more population in 1992.

U.S. Census Bureau
Includes results of census of population and housing and of state and local governments, U.S. foreign trade, population projections and estimates, current manufacturing reports, historical census data and international statistics. Provides prices for Census Bureau data products in various formats. Click on the American Fact Finder tab for community facts, maps and industry and business facts.

University of Florida Department of Statistics Web Site
This site is an excellent jump start for locating statistics maintained by government institutions and statistical research groups from around the world.  Additional links to the Statistics Departments at most major colleges and universities, statistics journals, mailing lists and statistical servers.  Great resource for anyone who is taking Statistics.

World Fact Book of Criminal Justice Systems
This fact book provides narrative descriptions of the criminal justice systems of 42 countries around the world.
