Founded in 1913 and chartered by the United States Congress, the NSC is
the nation's leading advocate for safety and health, whose mission is

NSF International
One of several Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) Nationally Recognized
Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) which develop standards, test products, and conduct certification services in the areas of public health safety and protection of the environment. Products listed here include bottled water; packaged ice; drinking water treatment components; plastics piping and plumbing system components; swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs; wastewater treatment units; bakery products; food processing equipment; nonfood compounds registration; biohazard cabinet field certifiers; and authorized protocol certifications. Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
A provider of product safety certification and quality system registration services (ISO
9000 QS-9000, and ISO 14000). The UL Mark "means that samples of a product bearing the Mark have been tested to nationally recognized safety standards and found to be reasonably free from the risk of fire, electric shock and related hazards." Find information about ULC,, ULC
